We ate in silence for a few moments before she continued. “I asked you here for another reason today. I thought it was about time you started undertaking some charity work.”
I perked up. Anything to take my mind off the baby situation was a good thing. I wanted to work with charities since the wedding. “Yes, I would like that very much. Is there a particular job I can do?”
The queen nodded her graceful head. The sadness of her grief was still in her expression but she tried to hide it. “There is a charity in need of a patron. It is for a children’s hospital. I thought that would be appropriate for your first position.”
